After my dad’s passing, I kept a few of his favorite shirts, hoping to one day have something made from them.
I’m amazed by how effortlessly I was able to create a mini memory bear! Despite having limited sewing experience, the pattern’s design makes it an ideal choice for beginners. It’s well-written and provides clear instructions, guiding you through ironing the pattern, sewing it together, and stuffing it.

The bear is beautifully handcrafted; it definitely will become a family heirloom. We got this bear to honor my young son who died tragically 8 months ago. It is made from his favorite shirt and a work shirt that had his name embroidered on it. I received the excess fabric back to use for another project and everything was packaged with care. All together the whole process was easy, well communicated, and very fast.

My dad passed away before two of the biggest milestones of my life — my wedding and the launch of my new company. He never got to see the world I’m building, but somehow, having this bear by my side makes it feel like he’s still a part of it all.

I will admit, sending in my grandfathers flannels was one of the most scariest things I’ve ever done. He was the only grandfather I had my entire life and when he passed, I took it very hard. Due to circumstances out of my control, these flannels were the only two items of him that I had to remember him so I knew this is what I wanted to do. Patchwork Bear had amazing reviews and afger researching, this is the company I wanted to go with.
