How Memory Bear Ordering Works
What is an "Order Window"?
An Order Window is a limited time when Memory Bear ordering is open.
We use Order Windows so we can plan production and hand-make each bear with care. When the window closes, ordering pauses until the next opening.
What happens after I sign up?
We’ll email you when ordering opens, with the date, time, and a link to order. Signing up doesn’t place an order, it just makes sure you don’t miss the opening.
Order Windows are open for a short time, so signing up helps you be ready.
How much does a memory bear cost?
Memory Bear prices depend on the style and clothing used, typically ranging from about $88–$175 when ordering during an Open Order Window.
During the window, all bears are available at the regular price.

Outside the window, a small selection can still be ordered at about $25 more per bear,
How long do I have to place my order?
Each Order Window is open for a short time. Once it closes, ordering pauses until the next window. We aim for about once a month, usually around mid-month.
I don't want to wait. Can I order a bear now?
Yes. A small selection of Memory Bears can be order anytime.
These are available outside the Order Window at a higher price, or you can wait for the next window to order at the regular price.
Do I need to have my clothes picked out before I order?
No. You can order during the open window, then mail your clothes later. We recommend sending them within one year of ordering.
What clothes work best?
Start with the pieces that hold the best memories.
Works best: cotton and cotton-blend shirts and pants, t-shirts, jeans, uniforms
Please skip: thick or bulky items (coats, heavy outerwear), costumes, sheer or overlay fabrics, underwear

The bird was so detailed. I just love it. Hung them on a lamp next to my bed. Fall asleep looking at them and wake up to such cuteness. It just gives me a sense of closeness to my daddy.

I ordered 2 Simple Bereavement Bears and they exceeded my expectations. The quality and craftsmanship was outstanding and you could tell the bears were made with love. Be prepared to cry though! It is an emotions experience to see my mom’s shirts turned into these beautiful bears. I also purchased a wonderful elephant made from my dad’s shirts and a bunch of hearts from the leftover fabric.

I have to admit; I was somewhat hesitant to mail in four sets of my recently deceased father's clothing, plus the cost of each bear, to have 4 memory bears made from someone who I had never heard about before. I decided to go for it a few months ago, placed my order, and a few days ago received my 4 memory bears, well packaged, in the mail. The bears are for myself, and my 3 sisters and they turned out absolutely gorgeous, far better than my expectations exceeded. The main body, arms, legs and face are each made from a pair or trousers and a shirt, the ears from his ties, and the feet from his socks. My mother who is 90 years young saw the bears yesterday and she was very overwhelmed in what The Patchwork Bear had accomplished. I would highly recommend without hesitation, and now my mom wants to order a large quilt with the remainder of my father's clothing.
