The Original Memory Bear

My husband Phil passed away in April. I thought it would be a nice remembrance to have a bear with his favorite shirts. He was very patriotic having been in the Air Force & so I used 2 shirts that had Air Force logos & pictures on them. I instructed Patchwork Bear where to put the logo, as well as where to put my husband's nickname "Mr. Cool" & the other information. When I received the bear everything was done to my specifications perfectly & the bear looked fantastic. I will always cherish it & hand it down to my children to keep forever. I have already sent the Patchwork Bear link to a couple of my friends who wanted to know where the bear was done, since they thought it was awesome & so well made.

The bear came out better than I could have ever hoped for. The placement of the “Hello Kitty” logos and the use of the fabric was beautifully done. The designers who laid it all out should be commended for a job well done! ❤️

This is a gift for someone and I won’t be able to get it to her for a couple weeks but it turned out amazing!! I wasn’t sure with the shirts I was given but absolutely love love love it!!

There's a certain sentimental allure to the idea of this bear. It's crafted from a police uniform, the child's father and that personal connection adds a layer of potential warmth. Unfortunately, the execution falls short. The dark fabric overwhelms the bear's form, making it difficult to see the playful essence of a teddy bear. While the concept of honoring Dad's service is touching, the result feels more like a somber reminder than a cuddly companion.

I sent in two of my father’s flannel shirts for the Patchwork Bear. I love it and especially the shirt pocket they used for a pocket on the bear. My dad loved pockets. Thank you for this darling keepsake that is a perfect tribute to my dad.
