Bereavement Bear

My bear came out so beautiful! I had my uncles shirts just waiting for me to do something with for too many years, I came across the ad for The Patchwork Bear and knew this was what I needed to do! Y’all are so talented! Thank you!!

This bear came out better than I could have imagined. This bear is such high quality and the craftsmanship is excellent. My mom recently passed and this was such a great way to remember her. I asked to have some rose appliqués from one of the shirts be added to the bear. They were placed perfectly. Thank you so much for helping me keep my moms memory alive.

The five bereavement bears I ordered after my husband’s death exceeded all expectations and will forever be a small tangible part of him that we have with us. A bear was made for myself, my daughter, son, and two grandkids and they’re personalized for each of us. We selected special button down shirts of his as their bodies, with all five having their ears, face, under arms, and feet made from the same Sherpa half-zip as a connection between the five bears. Polos with patches from his various programs, his favorite college team, and the colleges my daughter and son attended were used for an additional personal reminder of him. The workmanship is such high quality from the seams, to the pockets, to the patches, and then the personality…such care is evident in these sweet bears and I’m so grateful to have them with each of us forever.

I ordered 2 bereavement bears and sent off 4 of my mom's favorite tops. The most special of these was one she wore a lot and was from a Disney cruise.
When the bears arrived, I was pleased beyond words.
The bear made with the Disney shirt was perfect! The characters were placed on the bear in very specific places. Then, I had sent a striped shirt to go with it. The bear's face uses 2 pieces of material and they made the stripes match, so you don't even realize it's 2 pieces of material.
The attention to detail is amazing.

I absolutely LOVE my memory bear. They did an amazing job taking my dad's clothes and turning them into the most adorable bear.

My bereavement bear is so beautiful -- when I opened the box and took it out, I immediately sat down with it in my arms hugging it and crying. It is a big comfort to me. I sleep with it and recently took the bear which is made from my hubby's T-shirts on a trip with me. I went somewhere he and I used to always go, and I was apprehensive about going without Larry.
