My patchwork bear is one of those treasures.
Made from my father’s clothes, this bear holds a part of him that words could never fully capture. My dad passed away before two of the biggest milestones of my life — my wedding and the launch of my new company. He never got to see the world I’m building, but somehow, having this bear by my side makes it feel like he’s still a part of it all.
Each piece of fabric tells its own story — a favorite shirt he wore on Sunday mornings, a flannel he loved in the fall, a soft hoodie that reminds me of every adventure he ever took me on. The bear sits proudly in my office: a quiet, comforting presence, a reminder that my roots are strong and that his spirit and love continue to guide me through every risk, every triumph, every dream coming true.
It’s more than a keepsake — it’s a connection. It’s my father’s laughter, his wisdom, his unwavering belief in me, all stitched together in a form I can hug when the world feels too heavy.
This bear is proof that love never leaves us. It simply finds new ways to stay close.

I will admit, sending in my grandfathers flannels was one of the most scariest things I’ve ever done. He was the only grandfather I had my entire life and when he passed, I took it very hard. Due to circumstances out of my control, these flannels were the only two items of him that I had to remember him so I knew this is what I wanted to do. Patchwork Bear had amazing reviews and afger researching, this is the company I wanted to go with.
