How many clothes do I need for my Memory Bear?
We know it can be overwhelming trying to decide how many clothes to use for your Memory Bear so we simplified the process.
We now offer different types of Memory Bears based on the number of clothes you want to use.
Why? Basically, it's time.
As you can imagine, our main cost is for the TIME & LABOR it takes to make a memory bear. Each bear takes hours (sometimes days) to make using your clothes; all have different textures, condition, details. We thoughtfully incorporate these into the design to create a bear that saves all your memories.
It takes less time to design a bear using just one shirt vs 3 -5 different clothes, and we've passed the savings onto you! A SIMPLE Memory Bear (just one shirt) costs less than the TWO-SHIRT or ORIGINAL Memory Bear.
Depending on your needs and budget, you can choose a memory bear that's just right for you.
What kind of clothes can I use for my Memory Bear?
Some other ideas of clothes we can use:
- Baby and Children's Clothes
- Favorite T-Shirt (concert, race, event, etc)
- Team Jersey or Uniform
- Favorite PJ's
- Clothes from multiple family members
- Wedding or Special Occasion Dress
- Loved ones clothes who passed away (Bereavement Bear)
What clothes NOT TO SEND?
We can use almost any type of clothing, but please DO NOT SEND:
- Heavyweight knits or outerwear (thick sweaters, coats, jackets, etc)
- Dirty, stained or smelly clothes
- Leather, vinyl, fur
- Costumes, chiffon, tulle, organza
- Clothes with beadwork or rhinestones
- Thick blankets or comforters
- Swimwear or underwear (no undies please!)
What's the difference between these Memory Bears and the Bereavement Bears?
They're the same bear (style & size). We just categorize them differently to give you inspiration on what type of clothing can be used for a memory bear.
